Ellie Harrison grew up on a small holding in the Cotswolds where her father bred chickens. She studied Geography with Ecology at King’s College, London. She spent her gap year and based her thesis in Zimbabwe, which fuelled her interest in wildlife. Her TV career began when she was chosen to present Michaela’s Wild Challenge and has since fronted natural history shows across several channels. Ellie joined the Countryfile team in 2010, and when she isn’t in front of the camera she enjoys spending time at home with her boyfriend and three young children, playing banjo and cycling through the Gloucestershire countryside. In December 2014 she was appointed President of the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust.
