Gregynog Hall, Powys

The Grade 1 listed gardens of Gregynog Hall have been opened to the public and are undergoing a programme of gradual restoration with aspirations of further grandeur. They are described by CADW as ‘one of the most important gardens and parks in Powys’, dating from at least 1500.

Our 57 bedrooms can accommodate 106 guests with a selection of grand historic rooms, traditional en-suite, and single study bedrooms. Fine furniture and works of art grace many of these. Garden Cottage can sleep 12 and is perfect for family or group holidays.

Upton Grange Holiday Cottages

The Royal Hotel

The Royal is recognised as the finest hotel on the Isle of Wight. The main hotel is nestled into exotic south facing gardens overlooking Ventnor's stunning coastline. It is one of the only establishments in the country to have been listed in every Michelin Guide since its first publication in 1911, and has held two AA rosettes for its excellent food since 1998.

Chillingham Castle

The same family (the home of Sir Humphry and The Hon. Lady Wakefield) have owned the castle since the mid-1200’s. Situated in a spectacular setting, Chillingham Castle is possibly the finest surviving example of fortified domestic architecture in the county. Open 1pm-5pm from Easter to the end of October. Sunday-Friday. Group Tours can be arranged all year round. We regret there is limited disabled access. Guide dogs only.

Aberturret Cottage

This lovely cottage, dating from the 19th century, nestles in the tranquil grounds of Aberturret House. One of the many pleasures of staying at Aberturret Cottage is the benefit of a large private garden with a fresh water burn running through it. This provides the perfect setting for a barbeque on warm afternoons or a peaceful few hours relaxing to the sound of nothing at all! Aberturret House is a 19th century Dower House built by the Murray family, owners of the nearby Ochtertyre estate.
